Re: Favorite Genre(s) and Why

My favorite genres: Concertos: They are nice to listen to and play (especially ones for cello, violin, and piano). Operas: They are beautiful and nice to listen to, too, but only when I have some sort of translation or when I know the opera enough to know what's going on (ie. Madame Butterfly, Don G...

Chopin Variations op2 for Two Pianos

Hello Imslp!

I saw that we had the full orchestra score and the piano part with orchestra cues for Chopin's Variations op2 on La ci darem la mano. But what about an arrangement for two pianos? Does anyone have that score by any chance?

Regards,

Re: College Help

well there's a homeopathic medicinal stuff called Bach spray that's harmless because it's really light and it's all natural. I rarely use it, though. ...the other drugs are just awful (i've known people who've hallucinated from them)
I hope you do well in your audition!

Re: Do you like to read?

I love reading. I think reading helps me with interpreting piano pieces because I can use those stories I read to go along with the piano pieces I play. I happen to be very fond of Russian classic novels. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should read? I've read Anna Karnenina and The Idiot.

Liszt Ballade Ukraine

Liszt's Ballade Ukraine from the Gleanings from Woronince S. 249 (1847) would be a nice addition to have.

Re: Piano Competition Pieces and Concerti

Thank you everyone for posting! Oh, an LyleNeff, the only thing required is Mozart's Piano Concerto 20 in D Minor, repertoire she's had for a long time. My cousin needs an etude, sonata movements, and she picks the rest. They have to come from varying styles (Baroque, classical, romanticism/impressi...

Piano Competition Pieces and Concerti

Hi. My cousin is looking for solo piano pieces and concertos to perform in some international, national, and state-wide piano competitions. She's very good at interpretation and likes dark, passionate, melodramatic, climactic works. A recent piece she's played is Beethoven's Pathetique, which she ma...

Re: mozart - piano

Let me clarify: I don't mean that you shouldn't play Mozart with passion. I just mean be careful so that you make sure when you play Mozart with passion, it's still recognizable as a classic Mozart piece. If you play Mozart with overdone drama, you could run into the problem of playing it insensitiv...
