Re: What criteria is there for uploading scores to IMSLP?
You really think all those 1000s of scores from unknown 19th century composers are all that great either?

Archive.org holds most, if not all of it, however.

Re: Paganini Guitar Concerto
Paganini didn't write a guitar conterto, so it's probably an arrangement of one of the quartets. IMSLP has four of them, so that would be a place to start.

And FWIW, the 'rollover' into PD happens on the next calender year -- so even though he died in March, his music isn't PD in Canada until 2014 anyway.

Re: IMSLP Hidden Gems: Help Us Find Songs for Upcoming Conte
How the hell could Chopin, especially a waltz or nocturne, be a "hidden gem"?

Um....even if they aren't DLable, just having them viewable publicly like that would be just as much a copyright violation.

Re: Glazunov 10 clarinet pieces
In my workslist research, I didn't come across any clarinet duets, woodwind duets, or clarinet/cello, or anything using a clarinet as named instrument at all.

score preview not working on FireFox 18...
So I recently updated to FF18 -- all the way from version 12 -- and the score preview seems to simply not work where it did before. What's more, the example score DOES seem to work fine on Peachnote's site.

Re: Albinoni-Giazotto Adagio
Yes he said that. Kreisler also said he found a bunch of music by Baroque composers.
He could say anything he wanted, but most people agree he was lying

Re: Albinoni-Giazotto Adagio
No, actually the whole thing was written by Giazotto. That Albanoni had anything to do with it is a hoax.

Re: Okonsar, Hatikvah
Right. But compare Hatikvah to The Moldau, and you can see how it's not exactly necessarily the same rhythm, etc.

Re: Okonsar, Hatikvah
Hatikvah isn't technically a folk song -- it's a specific arrangement of a folk song (and NOT a Jewish one), by Samuel Cohen.
