The melodic minor scale has a raised 6th and 7th whilst ascending, lowered or naturalised while descending. Hi, yes, that's the one, and yes I finally found where he has written the hand assignments. I don't see where you were repeating yourself, but appology accepted, all the same.
Did D. Scarlatti provide these hand assignments himself? I am yet to find such on the net. Thanks again

Scarlatti sonatas unusual notehead

Hello All, my first post: I would like to know what the name of the unusual note head is that is featured all throughout the digital typreset Scarlatti sonatas- a small handwritten kind of note. I have not seen this before in modern editions of anyones music, and I cannot see a musical reason for it...
