Re: JOSEF STRAUSS- Dance album

Public domain, but see my note in your Rossini thread about submitting them separately. Might want to, again, check the respective work pages and compare against what you have to make sure you're not submitting duplicates.

Re: Ernesto Nazareth

The editor of this series is probably Gaó Gurgel (1909–1992). It appears this is a collection of previously-published pieces from 1968 that might have first been published in edition by Gurgel. Although Nazareth is public domain, the presence of an editor here and posthumous publication probably ind...

Re: Rossini- Album of 6 overtures for piano solo

Yes, this album would be public domain probably everywhere, but certainly in the US. Do note that each piece needs to be uploaded to the separate, appropriate work page. For example, the overture to William Tell needs to be uploaded to that work page; the overture to La gazza ladra to its separate p...

Ok, you didn't make it clear you had done so in this forum. I'll look at the requests that haven't been answered and respond there.

The parts are strictly rental only nowadays, making it even harder.

Re: © Status of the scores on IMSLP

If what you are downloading is public domain in the country in which you are downloading the file, you are free to print it, sell it, copy it, etc.

Re: Rachmaninov Paganini Harp Comments

You, or anyone else for that matter, are certainly welcome to spend days and months producing typeset parts to a piece which is in the canon of modern orchestras and has a well-established engraving which is used everywhere. The problems with doing this all again is when you aren't producing a criti...

Vocal score: 2028 (Canada); 2073 (US); 2048 (EU)
Full score, revised: 2023 (Canada); 2068 (US); 2043 (EU)

The rev. ed. full score might even be copyright longer unless the translation by Vida Harford (1907-1992) is redacted.

Re: Rachmaninov Paganini Harp Comments

I don't mean the manuscript parts that are available here, on IMSLP, but rather the "traditional" set of parts which are most commonly used (most come via rental) from the Foley publication, now Boosey & Hawkes. It seems a bit like recreating the wheel unless you're trying to correct u...

Re: Rachmaninov Paganini Harp Comments

Just out of curiosity, why are you going to such efforts to typeset parts to a piece which has perfectly serviceable parts already?
