[FEAT] University categories

There are many rarities in US university libraries. Some scores are otherwise not available anywhere else. Many scores are antique editions that are falling apart... until they are digitalized. Many of our users are students, which is why it would be useful if "user university-categories" ...

well it wasn't necessary... we still have a shortage of contributers, and there are still some 13 pages remaining. let this be heard again: these are historical editions. you will be contributing to history and your names will be imprinted on the workpages forever. it is an ideal contribution which ...

i won't touch it, their liszt page is messed up, bad.. without structure. and i once tried to post a recording which they didn't want to put up because i rendered it different from all others. however, i think that an "ambassador" should be appointed there to come to imslp and fix all thei...

Seriously guy, feel FREE to volunteer. Two ppl can't possibly do this fast enough. It isn't to much different from the MIT project, besides publisher info is much more accessible. Basicly, it's just download and upload. I don't understand the shortage of contributors!

Anyone here from Columbia or Virginia university?

Is anybody from there? There are some really rare scores in those libraries that should be scanned.

New Project: Ruth Dana Collection of Liszt editions

I recently discovered a huge collections of first and early editions of Liszt scores at JUILCAT. Really rare scores and editions that are barelly available anywhere else. The server is slow and the files are kind of huge (Transcendental Etudes are over 200 mb[!]) but the rarity and quality of the sc...

Conclusion: the text is just to brutally rendered; it can't be Liszt's hand. Just compare the two editions by EMB and C. F. Peters. Moved as arrangements to their original work pages, until something proves otherwise.

So if I understand it correctly, a work that is published for the first time is copyrighted for 25 years in parts of EU (Germany), 50 in Canada but none in US if the composer has been dead more than 70 years. So this would mean that I could e.g. retypeset "Albumblatter for Princess Witgenstein,...

Typesetting from new urtext editions

Is it okay to typeset from new urtext editions? Personally I think that since urtext are a "result of scientific analyses", any creative interpretations or modernizations should be nonexistant, so there should really be nothing to claim copyright on. Maybe some various versions are availab...
