Martinu Quartet

Since Martinu is now PD in Canada, any chance someone has the Quartet for clarinet, french horn, cello, and side drum? Thanks.

Re: Furie di donna irata

If you look on Piccini's page, you will see the opera title, and here's the page:

Unfortunately, we do not have that aria as a separate piece, you will have to look through the scores to find it. But at least we have the opera.

Re: Are any piano scores listed by difficulty?

For some reason, people have been using the scan rating system to rate typesets, even though they aren't scans, and clarity should not be an issue. One piece of music, which people have requested to remove because of the number of mistakes, missing bars, and bad typesetting errors, has average ratin...

Re: No deletion of files released under CC licence?

To me, although I am one of the admins that spend time working on these pages, the bigger issue is -- how can you put people in a position where they do something legally, only to have it declared illegal later? It might be very difficult, indeed, to prove that something was once under CC but is no ...

Prokofiev, Peter and the Wolf

http://imslpforums.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=7221 Others have complained about the quality of the Matthew Curtis/Philipp Maier typeset of Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf, so it isn't just the clarinet part. The typesetting guidelines say "a typeset with major flaws that could cause potential ...

Re: Prokofiev, Peter and the Wolf parts

Since this has gone off topic from a score request to a quality issue, I am going to request, in a different forum, that we consider removing the version with so many mistakes. We have the originals now, so I don't see any reason why we have to keep the bad set. I'm not sure it will actually be remo...

Re: Method that's teaching wrong material

There are many history books that would have what is considered now to be "wrong" information because newer information has corrected the mistakes. It will, indeed, be better to simply leave a comment on the work page.

That's a wonderful offer -- just remember that they would have to be posted to IMSLP so everyone can use them. Private file sharing is not allowed. And thanks!

Thank you Coulonnus! (Not surprised it hasn't been separated yet . . . . 190 pages!)

Re: Schumann Duetti da Camera

Well, we have this: http://imslp.org/wiki/Duetti_da_camera_%28Handel,_George_Frideric%29 but I am unconvinced of the title's origins. It is possible that, if Handel was writing these throughout his life, there is no one collection that has all of them. Beato che ver is HWV 181. Let me do some huntin...

Schumann Duetti da Camera

It seems Schumann wrote more than just the few that we have currently on IMSLP. For instance, Beato che ver isn't here yet, and I take it there are quite a few more still. Lovely vocal duets with piano.

Re: Login question

Now I have had to log in to the wiki three times tonight - it seems not to remember me for any length of time at all.

Over the last few week or so, I have had to log in every day or two, I just assumed it was roaming IP addresses, but this is more than that.

What is a cantatille?

Corrette's Polymnie is classified as a "cantatille". Grove Music does not define it, though there are phrases like saying that Boismortier "followed fashion by abandoning the cantata in favour of the cantatille ", which sort of ties it to a cantata, but with no definition, it's h...
