You need a pdf editor to change it, the best one around is adobe acrobat (not reader) which costs an arm and a leg, i don't know of any free ones, but there must be some somewhere.

You must've got it, directly or otherwise, from www.everynote.com and i think that the EveryNote logo would need taking out of the file, it might be wise to remove the copyright notice (even if it's not valid) and web adresses as well.

Link to imslp

I know it's a very small thing, but would it be possible to have a link from the forums back to imslp, there isn't currently one, and it's irritating having to go there manually (yes i know im lazy!) It's no big deal, but if there's a quick and easy way to do it, it would be nice.

That's lifted straight from everynote.com so it's not PD, the basic scan may be useable, but at the very lest it needs the logo removed.

Hi all, im 17 and from scotland, im an enthusiastic amateur musician, i play piano and cello. Im pretty good (at least i think i am) on the piano, good enough to be able to really enjoy myself, which is what really matters imho. Im not as good on cello, but i've joined the local amateur orchestra, w...

yes, a well timed silence can be INCREDIBLY effective, as can a lot of things, the CRUCIAL thing is that they only work well in context. four and a half minutes of silence isn't context. Im not against the use of silence in music, even for quite extended periods, i am a great believer of anything in...

obviously Prokofiev and Stravinsky aswell, but definately Holst Planets Are you still talking about John Williams (modern film composer) or Vaughan Williams (early-mid 20th century english composer)? I know Vaughan Williams has elements of prokofiev etc. but i personally don't associate those with ...

Welcome to the world of the great master orchestrators! I think you are being a bit harsh with the list of composers you give, i don't know, but i would think you would find much of the stuff you descrided in late beethoven and early to mid romantic composers, though undoubtedly some of the best com...

Personally i think that having a forum embedded in the wiki would probably be better anyway, largely because it's easier to navigate around from one part to the other, and it's all on the same site. I don't know any of the technical implications of doing that though.

There are only do many 4-note patterns in total, inevitably some will sound better than others, and so be more likely to be used. Is it therefore any surprise that some get used by two different composers? While one may've been consciously (or unconsciously) copying the other, it may equally be comp...

If the sound doesn't come from the performer, then what is the point of them being there? And ambient sound is not music, i don't care about any philosophical arguments, that's just plain nonsense and not music.

I thought that 4'33" was written for solo piano? im not sure and i've never heard it (well never heard a proper performance of it) and hope i never do, it's just nonsense, music isn't music unless it is acually music, and that clearly isn't.
