Re: IMSLP copyrighted scores being sold on eBay

At CPDL we moved the topic into the admin-restricted area of the forums to discuss actions in a more confidential way. I've updated the above link to display the initial part of the topic that I copied to the public area of the CPDL forums.

Re: IMSLP copyrighted scores being sold on eBay

Just to let you know that we are having a similar problem at CPDL, with scores sold by http://www.everynote.com. See:

http://forums.cpdl.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4842

We are currently considering actions that we can undertake.

Horrible pdf - are there any minimum requirements?

While surfing the internet, I found an English version of Mendelssohn's "Hear my prayer" (the version in German, "Hör' mein Bitten", is available already at IMSLP). I suppose it's public domain, as the music symbols look very old (Novello edition, probably end '800 to beginning '...

Re: Can corrections derived from non-PD scores be PD

I totally agree with Carolus: the intellectual property on an error listing is with the person who identified the errors and created the listing. I often perform checks between choral editions available at CPDL ( http://www.cpdl.org ) and commercial editions (or also editions available at IMSLP). To...

FYI, a manuscript copy is reported to be available at an Italian library (Biblioteca di archeologia e storia dell'arte - Rome).

Re: Monteverdi Poppea MS

If this can be of help: according to the Music section "Online Public Access Catalogue" (OPAC) of the Italian Library Service (see http://www.sbn.it/opacsbn/opac/iccu/musica.jsp) a manuscript transcription by Malipiero exists at the Bliblioteca Marciana in Venice (document code IT\ICCU\DM\...

Re: Copy of manuscripts from the Austrian National Library

Thank you very much kalliwoda for your contribution to this subject: interesting set of similar cases form other libraries. Going back to Reinhold's contribution (thank you also, Reinhold), your viewpoint is interesting because it leads to a question that is actually the core question I wanted to ad...

Copy of manuscripts from the Austrian National Library

I purchased from the Austrian National Library (Österreichische Nationalbibliothek, http://www.onb.ac.at/ ), some copies of old manuscripts, such as the compliments to the original partiture of Mozart's Requiem (especially Domine Jesu and Hostias) with the instrumentation written by Maximilian Stadl...

Carolus wrote:P.S. Do not post it under a separate title "Hallelujah" as it is taken from the oratorio mentioned above and should be added to that page.
I haven't been able to locate such a page :( I tried using various keywords, but no joy. Can anybody help?

Beethoven - Hallelujah

Please note this topic: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2514. I've got a copy of a (supposedly) very old Novello score, but I have no much information about it, so I'm not sure it's eligible for being scanned and published at IMSLP. Can anybody help?

Re: Hallelujah - Beethoven

Two recent digital typesettings of this work exist at CPDL ( http://www.cpdl.org ): editions #18233 and #18734. They both appear derived from an old Novello edition. I think I've got a photocopy of the same old edition, you may download the first page of it from http://www.choralia.net/beethoven-hal...
