Re: Updates

Kenny, That is a nice suggestion. With regards to the copyright system, I would also like to suggest the possibility of having it view more than 50 files at a time. It would be nice if it could be the same as the wiki (50, 100, 250, 500). The main problem with this, however, is that it could crash t...

Re: Stravinsky

We'll see where this goes. I'm a little miffed that there are discrepencies between list of works I was using and the catalog by White. Especially with regards to ordering! It says the Firebird was published in 1908. I'm very cautious of this catalog, Daphnis, but it does have some useful informatio...

Re: Stravinsky

No, but I'm now discovering there is a catalog used for Stravinsky which is in another Wikipedia language: http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oeuvre_van_Igor_Stravinsky It even has articles on most of the works. Frankly, I'm somewhat angry about this. It's based on Eric Walter White's numbering. I hate th...

Re: Stravinsky

I agree, the Stephen Walsh book is an excellent source. Richard Taruskin has his frequent disagreements with him though! Especially regarding when Stravinsky entered his neoclassical era. It has a good chronological listing, but it's not a full catalog, and certainly isn't numbered, which is what we...

Stravinsky

I'm currently working on a composition list for Igor Stravinsky, and there is no existing catalog of Stravinsky's works as far as I can tell. Does anyone know of one? I'm aware of a book by Eric Walker White, written in 1969, called Stravinsky the Composer and his Works . It seems to put the works i...

Re: IMSLP for Android

Way to go, Nicola! I've gone ahead and "liked" the video. Very nice design, and very useful application! Thanks for making it.

Re: Updates

If we're up for suggesting Mediawiki extensions, the Special:Interwiki one would be a good one, considering the number of templates we’re designing to link to external libraries. Previously requested by me: If you can convince Feldmahler this would be a good idea, sure. I support it, though the mai...

Updates

Here I am with my monthly (though we use this roughly) updates for IMSLP. These are limited to ideas since Feldmahler is the only person who can program them. However, I was wondering what everyone thought of the the following: 1. I think it would be good idea to install the Mediawiki extension Liqu...

Re: files for deletion

Well, one can just put the deletion template on the file page itself by simply clicking the file number. That would probably be easiest.

Re: Torchi, Elegant Italian Songs and Arias

You're right -- It should be in the "various" category. We already have most of the scans in the book. Torchi should be listed as an editor, not as the composer.

Schütz Manuscripts

Can someone upload some manuscripts from Heinrich Schütz's choral works? They have some interesting uses of the subbass clef, which were taken out by editors and replaced with the more common bass clef. Thanks!
