Leonore (Complete Opera)

Is there a complete edition of this opera that is P.D? I couldn't find any scores of the work (even a vocal score). Was it even published during Beethoven's life? Any help would be appreciated.

Quote: Hummel should be classed with Beethoven, not Haydn (wrong eras). Sorry, meant to say Schubert. (Posted this late at night)
How can you say that he was not influential (had the least effect), when composers from Mozart to... now are still being influenced by his revolutionary ha...

I personally feel that Bach and Mozart had probably the least effect on music than any other compsers. Bach was overshadowed by composers such as Telemann and Handel, while Mozart stayed neatly in a class of his own as Haydn and Hummel paved the way to Romanticism. Beethoven was really the first com...

Sousa's Marches

Is there a definitive edition of Sousa's famous marches in full score, such as the 'Liberty Bell', 'Stars and Stripes Forever', and 'Washington Post'? All the scores I could find appeared be arrangements by others. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry. I misunderstood the purpose of the site. Still, it does seem like it would be helpful to track down a publisher.

How do you view the files? Are they on a seperate page as the piece names? Do you have to request the music from the site manager? Any help would be great and much appreciated.

Beethoven's sonatas are always a good bet. His Sonata No. 23, Op. 57, aka the 'Appassionata' is quite difficult, and is also very emotional, particularly the 2nd movement. His Eighth, the 'Pathetique' is not his most difficult, but probably the most serious and emotional. Other than those check out ...

Sorry, I didn't specify what I meant. I don't always like the computer generated works because they can be innacurate; also, my question should have been: What happened to 'God Save the Tsar' in the first file on the site? Thanks

1812 Overture

Why is the non-typeset version of this work on IMSLP different from every recording I've heard? Is it a new publication? Can I request the original version non-typeset? Thanks.

I could be wrong on this one, but I am pretty sure Op. 5 was published in 1920, therefore making it PD in the US.

Berg's Works

Are some of Berg's works on this site newer editions? I notice that the String Quartet Op. 3 is unblocked but that the 4 Pieces Op. 5 is still blocked. Any help?

Yagan Kiely, you are exactly right. Stravinsky based his ballet entirely on pieces he thought were by Pergolesi. I was asking for the classical pieces listed on the site by Pergolesi, Monza, Wassenear, Parisotti, and Gallo.

Pulcinella

Could someone please contribute a few or all of the scores in parentheses under Pulcinella listed here: http://www.classicsonline.com/catalogue/product.aspx?pid=2724 The works are all under public domain in Canada, and they would show people how Stravinsky adapted the music. Besides that, they are w...
