[BUG/FEAT]Performance of work pages offering mp3 files

To me it looks mp3 files (or other multimedia file types) reduce the performance of work pages remarkably; the more mp3 files the worse! A really bad example is the work page page for Orgelbüchlein (http://imslp.org/wiki/Das_Orgel-Büchlein,_BWV_599-644_(Bach,_Johann_Sebastian)) by J. S. Bach. While ...

To Bmedicky and other volunteers: please be sure to record your transfer plan in IMSLP's WIMA queue

Re: IMSLP to merge with WIMA

I keep track on completed transfers in the WIMA page WIMA/IMSLP Contributors & Contemporary Composers . This page is database driven: when I've verified that all the score files (pdf scores, sound files, engraving files) associated with a WIMA contributor and/or a composer have been transferred...

Re: IMSLP to merge with WIMA

While transferring files, I've been coming across many that have already been transferred, but haven't been updated in the WIMA transfer queue. We don't need duplicates. We need better advertisement for the queue page, which isn't really seeming to be all that beneficial... Am I the only person to ...

Kompy and other volunteers, sorry for answering that late. You may want to have a look at the instruction page on the WIMA server How to upload WIMA scores to IMSLP.

Re: [BUG]Uploading sound file #>1causes extra Synthesized/MI

Usual solution for now: use the Edit link and "merge" the blocks (there's a few examples around, but if you don't know how, ask someone who does to do it for you for now...! ) I do know how to post edit an IMSLP page and always fix duplicate sound tabs and change the names from "MIDI...

Replaced by the search field in the top right corner, I suppose?

Re: [BUG]Uploading sound file #>1causes extra Synthesized/MI

KGill: How bad is this? I don't think ZIP file is listed on the upload page; I was afraid mentioning it would promote vandalism. If normal submitters submitting ZIP files is not too frequent, we could just deal with it on a case-by-case basis (essentially, removing it unless there is a very good re...

Re: [BUG]Uploading sound file #>1causes extra Synthesized/MI

I believe this is the intended result. As long as it doesn't affect the look of the page it should not be considered a bug in this case. If does affect the look of the page, as you'll notice on the work page for Das Wohltemperierte Klavier . A few minutes ago I transferred a WIMA engraving of Prelu...

[BUG]Uploading sound file #>1causes extra Synthesized/MIDI

When I add another sound file to a work page containing 1 sound file beforehand I almost always end up with an additional section level 3 section, Synthesized/MIDI. This happens when I activate the WIMA button below an existing sound file.

G. Verdi, Nabuco, messy section head lines

While adding a WIMA score to the work page for Verdi's opera, Nabuco I've noticed that the section headlines are messy. Would someone with insight consider reviewing the page?

Re: IMSLP contributor James Howard Young

Yes, it's the cache; the maximum refresh time is 3 days, but it usually doesn't take that long. If you wish, you can manually refresh any page by clicking 'history' or another tab, changing the end of the resultant URL to 'action=purge', and loading that page - that will instantly clear its cache a...

Re: IMSLP contributor James Howard Young

Is it not perhaps a caching problem, where in a couple of days time, everything will be visible to everyone? Looks like you're right: when I look up the IMSLP page of contributor Wilbert Berendsen I see only an entry for his own composition. An hour ago I transferred an organ music edition of his f...
