I found out that Zinovij Dynov (spelling? perhaps Zinovii Dinoff?) was the first cellist of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Kiev, he devoted his life to the development of cello technique. His works for the cello are numerous including Variations on Ukrainian themes, transcriptions of works by Handel ...

Does any one know when Zinovij Dynov (Дынов) live. I believe he was a Ukrainian composer/cellist. Any help would be helpful.

The sharp does not actually mean a black key. It means a half step higher.
Just as the flat "b" means a half step lower.

It seems IMSLP is not online today Friday 27th November 2010...or is it just me?

I was probably one of the first people here on IMSLP to make a list of works by the composer as a way to keep track for myself of the works for a composer, the opus numbers and perhaps any other information (Keys, Year of composition, Year of first publication) that could be handy in either finding ...

I notice that when there are 0 downloads and then I download the score sometimes it still says 0 downloads UNTIL I open the edit page tab and then save it (without changing anything). It will then show that there is indeed a download.
