I don't quite understand how you found out that the PDF files are damaged if the links don't work... But anyway, the links seem to work for me, and neither file seems damaged to me. Maybe you should try redownloading it? The files are fairly large and it's possible that the transfer failed before it...

You're right about the number not being exactly accurate... but the problem is that I'm too busy right now to really code anything substantial (which would involve LOTS of testing that I don't have the time for; I'm glad I managed to get most of the coding done over the summer). About the stats... y...

IMRLP (International Music Recording Library Project)
I realize that me saying this might be too early, but I would like some feedback on this idea. I was today re-reading the Canadian Copyright Act, and hit upon the recording section (which I haven't read before since it's not relevent to IMSLP), and to my surprise, the term is not Life+50, but Perfor...

The webmaster of free-scores.com asked me to clear up the situation here, which is also something I would agree that should be done. So here goes. Recently, I've had some correspondence with free-scores.com regarding this matter. They have kindly honored my request to stop copying everything new tha...

what is with nlib.narod.ru??
I was randomly doing random stuff with Alexa, and happened to check out the traffic stats of nlib.narod.ru: http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details?q=&url=nlib.narod.ru I nearly died from the shock. Considering I've seen no other sheet music site reach even the top 20,000 I'm at a loss...

Yes... I know what free-scores.com is doing right now, and I find it very disagreeable that they are doing it due to financial considerations. The amount of ads on their site is, to put it mildly, a lot. IMSLP is currently funded only by me, but up to now the costs haven't been impossibly high; the ...

What I would do (and have done) is to write a Bash script that does the following: 1. Convert each TIFF file to a PDF file with one page using Imagemagick 2. Combine all the PDF files using PDFtk A DOS batch file should do the same thing, except I don't know how to write DOS batch files. Another way...

Well... another problem now is that free-scores.com has been assimilating the IMSLP collection for the past few days. They have already finished everything from A to G, and doesn't look like they'll stop until they get everything on IMSLP. I'm not exactly happy with this development, but I guess it ...
