Re: Mediawiki Score Extension.

These musical examples could also be used to show wrong (or differences in the) notes in the various editions. See the bottom of http://imslp.org/wiki/Cello_Concerto,_Op.104_(Dvořák,_Anton%C3%ADn) You might consider something like this instead: \new Voice \with { \consists "Balloon_engraver&qu...

Re: Mediawiki Score Extension.

It's a pretty bad decision to break compatibility between minor versions, though. In Lilypond-land the even minor numbers are the stable versions (2.14, 2.16, 2.18, etc.). And these aren't frequently released (2.18: 2013 Dec 29, 2.16: 2012 Aug 24, 2.14: 2011 Jun 5). Breaking changes do occur betwee...

Re: Mediawiki Score Extension.

Cool (I just played with it: http://imslp.org/wiki/Horn_Sonata,_Op.1 ... udwig_van)).

Is it possible to have multiple on a page (one for each movement)?

Re: HINDEMITH, SINFONISCHE METAMORPHOSEN

First horn part duplicates page 5 and is missing the march.

Re: Search results with Youtube

I don't know for sure, but I assume that youtube and google use a similar syntax (being part of the same company whose expertise is search). I believe 'video' from google searches more than just youtube and most likely weighs results differently.

Re: Search results with Youtube

Use quotes around terms that must be included. For example "woelfl" "sonata" "c minor" has only 29 results. Google used to use '+' for this. This was changed to quotes (I'm not sure when). I'd bet that youtube uses a similar syntax as google: https://support.google.com/...

Re: IMSLP Kickstarter Project 1: Leo Ornstein's Piano Concer

I added a link on the classical music reddit page: http://www.reddit.com/r/classicalmusic/comments/1fgyib/kickstart_to_typeset_leo_ornsteins_piano_concerto/ . I've seen kickstarters posted there in the past and the response is usually mixed. Some suggestions: - Add a link to IMSLP somewhere. I assum...

Horn Solos Kickstarter

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1206816328/horn-solos I've started a kickstarter to typeset and print a bunch of public domain horn solos on good heavy paper. The final printed result is pretty nice in my opinion. Let me know if you have any comments. I do have one copyright related question. L...

Re: missing horn part - Myslivecek

The scanner of this document did not include it: http://bdh.bne.es/bnesearch/detalle/3421206. Either it is an oversight or the part is lost.

Copyright status - a few horn pieces

Rossini - Prelude, Theme, and Variations. Revised by Domenico Ceccarossi (1910-1997). Reprinted by masters music, but Worldcat suggested "Pesaro : [Fondazione Rossini], 1954." as the original publisher information. Forster, Christoph - Horn Concerto. Piano reduction by Manfred Schlenker. ...

Re: Cherubini Horn Sonata emergency!

http://partifi.org/pk6rv Good luck. I'm not sure you're going get much better before Wednesday. Keep in mind that in the score many markings are above each system (tempos, bar numbers, etc.) and sometimes things get cut off so you'll need to write those in. Overall I'd say the splitter works pretty...

Re: Cherubini Horn Sonata emergency!

How soon? I can upload the score and you can try that new fancy score splitter. It's edited by Johannes Wojciechowski and published in 1954 so I assume it falls under the same scholarly edition provision.

Mitridate - "Lungi da Te" + Horn

The NMA edition of Mitridate includes a solo horn during this aria ( http://dme.mozarteum.at/DME/nma/scan.php?vsep=37&l=1&p1=137#p137 ). This isn't included in any of the editions on IMSLP that I've seen ( http://imslp.org/wiki/Mitridate,_r%C3%A8_di_Ponto,_K.87/74a_(Mozart,_Wolfgang_Amadeus)...

Re: Kopprasch Horn Etude Editions

The first two you listed should be fine. The Kalmus is likely a reprint of the same thing reprinted by Southern. It's not impossible that the International is a mere reprint in its own right - they actually did more unedited reprints than I realized in previous years. No, the Kalmus is very differe...

Kopprasch Horn Etude Editions

There's some demand out there for better Kopprasch editions on IMSLP. Here are what I have: * G. Kopprasch 50 Etudes for French Horn revised by Oscar Franz, Republished by Southern Music Company - Who was the original publisher? http://www.public.asu.edu/~jqerics/later_ko.htm places the date of orig...
