I think pdftk will do what you want (decrypt and split into separate pages). You should then be able to modify them as usual.

The template is {{Delete|reason}}, but you should attempt to merge the pages when possible.

Hi there! So, if you go to the work page (that you listed) you'll see the 'Add a file to this work page' link. Click on it, and then you'll see a link, right below the 'file name' field, that says, 'use this form for files already uploaded', which will take you to the old submission form where you c...

Heh, can I call 'em or what? True, but I could see a desire to search by arranger as well, for example, if you happened to like a particular arranger's work, or knew the arranger generally arranged for a particular group, but you didn't have a specific piece in mind. A specific example would be Theo...

This brings up the whole issue of how to categorize the numerous piano transcriptions and arrangements made by composer/pianists like Thalberg and Liszt of other composer's works. Shouldn't they appear under the orginal composer category as well? It gets dicey when the arranger in quesiton has basi...

Arranger Lists & General other Arranger stuff

This is kinda related to the namespace discussion, but not exactly, so I'm posting as a new thread. As I mentioned in another thread, I have a bunch of music that is arranged. How are these to be handled? I would imagine that, currently, I would put that info in the 'editor' field, but 1) that's not...

Arrangers Biographical Info

Hi Carolus! I recently came into temporary possession of quite a large bit of music for theater orchestra from around 1900. A large part of it is PD in the US (due to being published before 1923), but I was wondering if you knew any information about some of the arrangers (I'm hoping to be able to p...

Yes, provided the pieces (and the edition!) are truly in the public domain in Canada (or the US). Please review http://imslp.org/wiki/Public_Domain first! Also, please note that we tend to discourage posting from the Werner-Icking Music Archive (WIMA), because many of the pieces there are actually a...

Circumventing IMSLP copyright review through re-uploading

It occurred to me that one (if one were so deviously inclined) could circumvent our copyright review process as follows: 1. Upload a file, and submit it properly to a work page. 2. The file is reviewed, and found to be PD by reviewer, who changes its status to "verified". 3. Upload a new f...
