Krehbiel's How to Listen to Music.
Is there a need for a "music appreciation" tag? Or any other suggestions?

When I get a chance, I'll work on that.

Re: "Mass proper movements"
Thanks, done.
If I come across this again, will "offertoriums" work for anything listed as a "Mass proper movement"?

"Mass proper movements"
Michael Haydn's Laudate populi http://imslp.org/wiki/Laudate_populi_(Haydn,_Michael)#IMSLP342383 sparked this off, but I see that Grove Music has a very long list of "Mass proper movements" for him, and probably others. These aren't full masses, so I don't think "masses" would be...

Books of vocal texts
This page refers: [url]http://imslp.org/wiki/Spanish_%26_Italian_Folk-Songs_(Strettell,_Alma)#IMSLP341984[url] It contains no music, just the words to the folk songs. We have a tag for librettos, but none for song texts, although the definition for librettos includes "vocal works". Appropr...

Palestrina, Missa Iste Confessor
In tagging a work that was a movement from a larger work, I found the original work, but I have 2 questions: http://imslp.org/wiki/Missa_Iste_Confessor_(Palestrina,_Giovanni_Pierluigi_da) 1. The file (in the Selections tab) marked "Hymnus Iste Confessor Modus VIII. (Gregorian Chant)" -- al...

Re: Galway recordings on Pandora Records/Archive
Wouldn't Galway (and accompanists/orchestras) have to give permission for the free distribution?

Re: Vivaldi RV 85
Grove Music lists RV 85 as a Trio Sonata in G minor for violin, lute and continuo. They list RV 82 as a Trio Sonata in C Major for violin, lute and continuo, so you are right and the page needs to be changed. Before I do that, though, I would like you to check something -- I can't download the file,...

Siefert, Benedicam Dominus
This page: Benedicam Dominum (Siefert, Paul) is titled Benedicam Dominum, but the organ piece is actually a Fantasie on a Benedicam Dominum. Further, Carus Verlag publishes the piece http://www.carus-verlag.com/index.php3?selSprache=1&BLink=KKWerk&WerkID=14978 but if I understand their page ...

Book's title translates as "Reflections on bleak and degradi
This book's title: http://imslp.org/wiki/Musikerelend_(Krehl,_Stephan)#IMSLP339869 translates as "Reflections on bleak and degrading conditions in the music profession". Sibley classified it as vocational guidance . . . Not sure we should follow suit, so -- music history? Any other s...

Re: broschi/farinelli, sabrina
Thanks for this. Is there a minimum input we require for it to be collaborative? I'm thinking of the one where Handel seems to have written only one aria, and RISM doesn't call it "excerpts", they say "insertion" aria, which I presume means it was a one-off. Also, I need to re-ta...

broschi/farinelli, sabrina
Sabrina is listed as a pastiche, so RISM has excerpts only, not the whole. Still, 3 of those 4 are by Pescetti, and only one is by Broschi/Farinelli. It looks as if Broschi/Farinelli only contributed the one aria to this pastiche. Should the page for Sabrina be under Broschi/Farinelli's name? We hav...
