Re: I am looking for Schubert's Opera, Fierrabras!
I have the Kalmus miniature score (reprint of the original Breitkopf & Hartel), but have the following problems: 1. It's about an inch thick (about 540 pages) and it looks like it will be almost impossible to scan without taking the binding apart. 2. I simply have had no time to scan anything (o...

Re: Johann Schobert's fortepiano music
Did you say Sibley? Had a look, found nothing...must be scores that are yet to be digitized.
No doubt when they appear, one of us will fall upon them like a pack of hungry chihuahuas on a pork chop and immediately import them here.

Re: Big News from Sibley Music Library
Congratulations - this is great news! I'm looking forward to seeing more of the wonderful material in the Sibley library. Already, every day for me begins with the ritual of checking IMSLP, UR Research and the Danish Royal Library website for new stuff while my blood caffeine level reaches equilibri...

Re: JS Böhner Fantasie and Variations
Are there any clever people out there who want to have a go at making a piano reduction?

Re: MERLOT Award Ideas
Unfortunately the University of Melbourne has changed the status of anything remotely interesting, so that they can't be borrowed any more. Good to see yet another library doing what libraries are supposed to do - lock up works to protect them from any of the great unwashed who might be interested ...

Re: Orchestral Parts Project
PML, would you have access to any of these two? Or Aldona for that matter? I have a Monash "alumni" borrower card - which I acquired about a year ago mainly for the purpose of borrowing IMSLP-worthy material to scan - only to find that I actually have very little time to actually go down ...

Re: Don Quixote ballet music
Piano arrangement is up.
It is from Sibley and apparently was scanned from a very old and very scratched microfilm, so if any of my more clever colleagues can make it prettier and easier to read, it would be much appreciated.

Good work!
Just shows how important it is to go back and recheck those music websites frequently. There's great stuff being added all the time.

Re: Suggestion concerning Composer Names
How about Witold Maliszewski (not Malichevski, as he is listed at present - presumably the French version)?

The Sibley Music Library (University of Rochester) has recently listed a whole pile of ballet music by Drigo and Pugni. I don't know enough about the pieces, or the authors, to make an intelligent attempt at categorising and creating work pages and importing them here, so I will leave it to those wh...

Picture: Melbourne as seen from the bushfire areas
http://www.news.com.au/common/imagedata/0,,6483404,00.jpg This is a view of Melbourne as seen from the completely burnt-out area of Kinglake West. Just thought I'd post this so you all knew why I haven't been around on the forum much. I'm OK and my home is not under threat at the moment, but if the...

Composer Mixup - Hofmann vs. Hoffmann
There are two composers with similar names: Heinrich Anton Hoffmann (1770-1842) (double "f") Heinrich Hofmann (1842-1902) (single "f") The Serenade for Flute and Strings (Op.65) is incorrectly placed on the former's work page, when it should be the latter. I would be grateful if ...
