Re: SBB and BSB

It's not the first time that there is block of the pdf download function from bsb. Sometime ago a friend of mine sent a message to those people and they said it was a technical problem, so no relation with anybody's user in particular. Hope the error will be corrected also this time asap.

Re: Rossini, La Donna del Lago

The major part of forgotten operas (at least forgotten inthe first part of XX century) weren't printed in full scores during the XIX. So the very good (but expensive) scores published by Ricordi for Rossini are the unique source. The project should have continued with Donizetti, but apart a first su...

The speed is ... the equivalent of a photo shot, since there is no real scan, just a click.

Re: A3 scanner. Any suggestions?

Hi All, I would like to buy an a3 scanner (200-400 euros) I saw several models by Mustek, Plustek, Mustang. I wonder how fast they are. I also found very interesting this Cam Scanner by Mustek. Re: Online Collection of Milan Conservatorio di musica

Just to say that

1) Dr.Borrelli is no more the President of the Conservatorio (since 2010)
2) Ten days ago, for reasons unknown to me, the adiministration council of the Conservatorio suspended any activity regarding the scanning on demand

Hope to come with better news.

Re: Platti. Cello concertos

I know very well that Sibley represents the most wonderful example of how a library should behave (i.e. let the uncopyrighted scores be free on the library's site) and I tried to illustrate that kind of example to some important italian librairies too in the past years. I was talking about a persona...

Re: Platti. Cello concertos

anyway my doubts were well grounded, since I've just received the following message from the Netherlands : You can start sending a request from September, as is mentioned on the request-page and only 3 items at a time, and only works which are out of copyright. We will now remove all your requests, ...

yes, time. When you request a score to Sibley, you often wait for several months before receiving a mail of availability.

Re: Platti. Cello concertos

First of all the name is Piatti, not to be confused with Platti, a baroque composer. Concerto op.24 : - ms in Bergamo ref.L.9012 L 9009 - score (probably cello and piano) in Milano ref. vlc.A.29.30.4 - full score reprinted in Bergamo , 2002 (Civico Istituto Musicale Donizetti) for scan orders : Berg...

It doesn't come from any opera. Scarlatti wrote at least seven arias for soprano and baroque trumpet.

more or less 0,50 eurocents per page; but for scores printed after 1850 or so they could also accept to make photocopies, for at least half of the price
