Re: Alphabetical treatment of German titles

Thank you, I've done it for a couple of others. Given the TWV index is sorted completely by first word, I propose moving those with an article as well so that our list is in the same order as the TWV catalogue.

Alphabetical treatment of German titles

I understand it is general policy to ignore articles in the titles of works. In German this causes confusion because the articles "Der" and "Die" are also used as pronouns. So for instance a title such as "Die ihm vertrauen, die erfahren" (Telemann) is to be found under...

Re: Telemann cantata texts

All 72 cantatas have now been transcribed and uploaded. Some excellent music included there so hopefully these pieces will now be more accessible.

Vivaldi Amor hai vinto misfiling

Daniel van Gilst's edition #441191 under Vivaldi's Amor hai vinto RV 683 (for alto and strings) is actually an edition of the identically-named cantata RV 651 (for soprano and continuo). Sorry I don't know how to move it.

Re: Telemann cantata texts

If it's this CD then I would be very pleased indeed to see the lyrics since these would be three possible cantatas to work on:

Re: Telemann cantata texts

Thanks but this is one of the two volumes I've already done. It's the 1729 Engels-Jahrgang set I'm looking for.

Telemann cantata texts

I have finished my transcriptions of the cantatas from Telemann's Harmonische Gottesdienst. For a new project in this Telemann anniversary year, I was wondering about transcribing some of the cantatas from the Engels-Jahrgang collection. Many of them (parts only) are on IMSLP. While the notes are no...

Charpentier Peccavi Domine H 378

This piece has two work pages, one as Peccavi Domine and once as Peccavi Domine, peccavi multum. The two pages have different files. Could they be merged please? (I have a modern transcription to upload).

Re: Elgar- 7 Lieder

Hope this helps - this is a collection of early songs and only the German translation is by Sachs - original English texts are as outlined below. All of these are already available on IMSLP in both English and German versions. "Like to the Damask Rose", Simon Wastell (1892) "Queen Mar...

Haydn C major masses

The two vocal scores recently added under Haydn's Mass in C Hob.XXII:5 don't match the full scores already there, instead they are scores of Hob.XXII:8 (the Mariazeller Mass).

For more discussion on this, see viewtopic.php?f=13&t=7812&p=39060&hilit ... gan#p39060.
I still think the fact that Durufle advised Poulenc on registration is not sufficient for him to hold copyright.

Rossini Messa di Gloria misattribution

The 'Laudamus Te' manuscript uploaded here is not from the Messa di Gloria, it's from the so called "Messa di Milano", a work of Rossini's youth (possibly by 1808).

Webern - Six pieces for orchestra, op 6

I think that both scores listed here - http://imslp.org/wiki/6_Pieces_for_Large_Orchestra,_Op.6_%28Webern,_Anton%29 - are of the 1928 revision. The Russian score listed as the original 1909 version seems identical to my own 1928 score as far as notes are concerned, although many German terms are tra...
