klose works for clarinet and piano
IMSLP has Klose's Solo no. 7. I am interested in acquiring others, especially the later solos. Does anyone have, perhaps Sibley, since that is where Solo no. 7 came from? Thanks.

flute concerto orchestral parts
I am looking for the orchestral parts to any Mercadante flute concerto, and also Enescu's Cantabile et Presto. Does anyone have these? Thanks.

login and this new forum system
I don't know if I'm missing something, but the new forum system wouldn't take my old password. It issued me with a new and emailed it to me. I have it now, but I can't find the 'profile' page it says I must go to to change it (it is not a very "remember-able" password). Also, within a coup...

'Rhene-Baton, Emmanuel' or 'Baton, Rene-Emmanuel'
Even the French Wikipedia site gives 2 versions of this. I'm used to seeing it at Rhene-Baton (which doesn't mean that's necessarily correct), and with this spelling, it should be alphabetized under R. (This doesn't count as a preposition in a surname such as van Beethoven.) In http://fr.wikipedia.o...

merlot award
In another thread I mentioned the fact that our university library is running out of space, and this is a BIG help. Someone else answered that also it is beneficial to libraries that have old brittle copies of music that they don't want in circulation, which of course IMSLP is brilliant for, because...

browsing new additions / instrumentation
I don't know how many people browse the new additions from time to time, but I do sometimes find works for which there is no info given -- instrumentation, for example. The Miguez works that were recently added would have to be downloaded first in order to see what it's for. Is there a way to reques...

public knowledge of imslp
Just a note to say it is increasing -- for instance, a colleague of mine was subscribing to another site to get things he could get free from imslp, and I "re-routed" him. Word is getting around. Also I just want to say a big thank you to all who help put this together. It has been a hugel...

Lefebvre, Suite op. 122
So far, only the score of this has been uploaded. Is there any chance that anyone has the parts for this? It originally came from Sibley, so I supposed the place to start is there? Thanks.

re: IMSLP 17329, Kalliwoda Piano Trio no. 3, op. 200
This states the genre as "Quartet (2 violins, 1 viola, 1 cello), but there is no information on the work page about it being a transcription. If it really is a Piano Trio, could a moderator please correct the genre?

Bruneau, Romance for horn
I see that the viola transcription of this is uploaded, but would anyone (especially Sibley Music Library, since the viola transcription came from there) have the horn part? It would be much appreciated if it could be uploaded. Thanks.

prokofiev flute sonata
The copy of the flute sonata that we have in our music library has the violin transcription in the piano part, not the flute line. Does anyone know whether a version exists with the flute line in the piano part, and if so, could it be uploaded? There are some differences -- the two parts aren't enti...

Cherubini Ave Maria for voice, clarinet, strings and basso
I am having trouble sourcing this. I sometimes see it referred to as "(Offertorium)" which would indicate that it's from an Offertorium, and this morning found a reference to it being a motet, in which case it's a separate entity altogether. The original scoring, which is what I'm looking ...

One serious suggestion and one humorous one 1) Vivaldi also wrote a Tempesta di Mare -- it is a flute concerto with string accompaniment, so no other winds but the soloist are needed. It is also sometimes done with a violin playing the solo part, so in this case no winds are needed at all. 2) If you...

jeanjean and leduc
What would be the status of Jeanjean -- he died in 1928, and many of his things (mostly for clarinet) were published by Leduc in the late 20s and early 30s, although not all (for instance the 16 Etudes was from the 50s). These earlier publications have been out for more than 70 years. Could this mat...

Thank for the offer, but I have found dealers. I'm just curious, though -- Schmitt died in 1958. Was it published later than that? Thanks.
