pdf files that require the opus font (Sibelius)?

The Beethoven string quartet parts recently submitted by "homerdundas" cannot be displayed correctly on my Mac or in the Browser (error message, could not locate the font opus) I know, this is the music font used by sibelius... but was under the impression that acrobat works across platfor...

Bantock

If you want to search libraries internationally, try the Karlsruher Verbundkatalog (KVK): http://www.ubka.uni-karlsruhe.de/kvk.html There are lots of bantock entries in the British Copac catalog ("Britischer VK"), but also a full score of Omar Khayyám at Heidelberg University (Breitkopf 19...

There are two scenarios with different answers: First, if the work is still under copyright (e.g. 70 year rule), no new edition can be published without the written consent of the owners of the copyright (publishers or the heirs of the composer). Musikverlag Bartholf Senff

Lyle,

Bartholf Senff was acquired by Simrock in 1907, so all editions with the name Senff on them should be prior to that year.

see http://www2.bonn.de/stadtmuseum/inhalte/n_simrock.htm (in German)

Kuhlau op.64

No digital version yet, but the Danish National Library has two different old prints of op.64, and Bavarian State Library and Sibley also have this work.

Maybe you could contact each of the 3 libraries and request that op.64 is scanned asap??

Bavarian State Library (BSB)

Hallo Aldona, I had a look at this collection several weeks ago, too bad they don't go by the good example of the Danish National Library. Saving a large work as single jpeg pages is a pain in the *** (And there are only two titles featuring the oboe (Onslow), both already available at IMSLP in bett...

Burt

Hallo David, was just curious, that "nothing" could be found with google about an American composer, most likely just a typo of some sort. So, if you search only with "Burt" and "Caroling" voilà, there are dozens of entries for one Alfred S. Burt. You could also use wor...

so even if the clarinet part is public domain because of the "Urtext" provisions, his piano reduction is most likely protected until 2075.
