On whose workpage do I upload A method for the piano-forte, by William Mason and E.S. Hoadly? Do I upload on William Mason's workpage since he was shown as the first author?

Re: Gemeinnützige Guitareschule (Bathioli, Francesco)

Thank you very much. You are absolutely correct. But 1746 that you saw was not the date of publication but rather the plate number. Actually in my original upload, I did not put in the date of publication and now, after your post ,I have added the date of publication as 1827 as stated in WorldCat.

John Thompson's Modern Course for the Piano

I have uploaded the 4th grade book yesterday and 5th grade book today and I expected it to be in his books section ( I am almost certain that I uploaded the book on books section. ) But I found that it has been classed under ' collection' rather than under the book section. I am sure that the people...

Category:Bayer, Eduard

I am perplexed and I would be grateful if an administrator would kindly explain. Recently I have created a composer page 'Category:Bayer, Eduard' and uploaded 4 pieces ( originally from The Danish Royal Library). Today I checked ( without signing in ) to see whether I have uploaded all I have and, t...

Guitar books by Bodstein, F. A

I could not find out anything about Bodstein, F. A . The only fact that I found out was that his book Pièces de société: pour la guitarre ; Oeuv. 19 was published by Bohm in 1830 , so I am sure his music is in PD, but since I could not find any fact about him, can I still upload them ?

Re: Language issue for 4 Romances, Op.41 (Rimsky-Korsakov)

Hi Davidov. Thank you for explaining and I now know that the admin who changed the name was just following IMSLP's policy . I would disagree with the policy regarding the vocal score. For the original Russian version, it is very appropriate to change the Russian name to English name. But the vocal s...

Re: Language issue for 4 Romances, Op.41 (Rimsky-Korsakov)

Thanks for the reply. But the name of the song has been given in English ,not French even if there is a language field that informs users that the scores include Russian and French text. If the vocal score is in English, you would not like it if someone has changed the name to French even if there is...

Language issue for 4 Romances, Op.41 (Rimsky-Korsakov)

I have uploaded 3 songs a couple of days ago to 4 Romances, Op.41 (Rimsky-Korsakov) . The version I uploaded were the versions with French and Russian lyrics. Because of that I have supplied the French titles ( French translation of the titles), when I uploaded. But the administrator has changed the...

Re: Why works by Richard Jones still under copyright?

From the preface from the book I found out that that very little is known of him apart from the fact that he succeeded Stefano Carbonelli as the leader of the orchestra in the theatre at Drury Lane about 1730. The preface in the book also stated that there was an announcement of his death is found i...
