Re: Problems with music manuscript paper.

and just don't trust computers not to crash and destroy years of work along the way. I regurlaly make copies of music I've typeset - and other interesting documents - on another computer. I also make sure I can open this copy correctly with this other computer, because copying has its small risk of...

Furthermore, when zoomed in it is apparent that anything that isn't a straight line has jagged edges. Yes, these items seem to have been scanned at about 300 dpi with added noise! Perhaps A.A. Cotton should read http://icking-music-archive.org/scores/Pdf_scores_HOWTO.php . Our typesetting-guideline...

Re: What criteria is there for uploading scores to IMSLP?

On a side note, the quality of the scan is poor, the clefs cannot be made out, as well as several other markings. Pleeeaaase, fo a good productivity, provide the URL of these Fugatos! On http://imslp.org/wiki/Fugato_in_D_minor_(Cotton,_Aaron_Alexander) I found a retypeset score. Sure the form is an...

Re: LISZT Der nächtliche Zug

Do you mean the Full Score, scanned by BSB (MDZ)? Did you ckeck the version on the BSB Site? I'm sure Piupianissimo will accept a remark if appropriate. :-)

Re: Retypesetting something Non-PD EU

Thanks. Now I understand the editorial job made by Peter's editor with dynamics, bowing etc. Obviously Henle's editor used the British Museum manuscript only. So I may at least upload parts without Peter's additions.

Retypesetting something Non-PD EU

I have typeset parts for the Allegro of http://imslp.org/wiki/Duet_mit_zwei_obl ... wig_van%29 whose copyright code is V/C/32.
May I upload them? What is appropriate in the Copyright: field? Can it be a CC-SA 3.0 in US and Canada?

Someone might consider retypesetting this score! You've uncovered one of the reasons why some people retypeset some scores. :-)

Re: Omroep to close Aug 1st 2013

The future is obscure even in the view of the Omroep administrators! I tried to view a few scores of this site but my processing of Dutch as a regional German language has limits. :-( Can anybody elaborate a brief guide of the present site? Is a subscription required to download decent scans? Or is ...

Not sure whether the conductor's score will be the piano reduction or a proper score. Could you please provide the url of the form and the succession of informations you provided into its fields to obtain the 30-page information? I'll try to understand the result(s) of your search(es). I had a look...

Re: Lefebvre, Suite op. 122

I have tracked down the parts to the French National Library. However, it will cost an amazing 897 Euros to have it digitally copied! Any thoughts?! Ouch, how many pages are there? Re: Scribd

I have modified the scribd paragraph on http://imslp.org/wiki/IMSLP:Other_music_score_websites, without being too verbose. Judging by some other imslpforums posts about Scribd I found, it seems scribd had more qualities in the past! :-(
