The URL has been assigned to members who were/are working on it's inclusion into IMSLP. It has almost been completed and there is no need to add more project members.

Sorry.

But the majority of the scores will be on IMSLP in the future.

Has anyone still contact with this guy? I would like to ask him to reopen his archive, as it was nearly finished before takedown. We can give garantuee that there will be no new members who have access to the website.

Hi Peter,

if access to the MIT Archive is re-established, may I ask one of those with access to do me a favour, and that is to obtain for me the scanned version of Havergal Brian, Complete Music for Solo Piano, published in 1985. Discussion with Mcroskell had indicated the entire volume was in the MIT archive, however after posting a message on his page I looked at his contributions list: he hasn't been around for months.

The reason for this is two-fold:

1) I already own a physical copy of this work, so I am not intending to make any use of the electronic copy, except if I receive permission; however,

2) I have written to the publishers on 13 December (the Havergal Brian Society, of which I'm a member) to ask the composer's estate for two of the pieces in the publication - both pre-1923, incidentally - to be released for Canada and Europe under one of the CC licences (probably CC-by-nc-nd).

I got an initial response that indicated the publishers would discuss it in committee, and I am fairly confident that they will agree to my request.

Thus having the MIT copy will be useful, since I don't have a scanner myself. The Estate might be even willing to release more than just the two works I suggested, as I indicated there were a number of works (including six large orchestral scores printed by B&H in 1914) that were now in the PD in the US.

Regards, Philip

Hi to everybody.

I have a simple question.
Is it possible to have a warning when a score i'm interested in is uploaded?

Thank you.

No, it is closed. Actually, there were some messages lately in this forum discussing the status of the project (including one by me) but these seem to have been deleted.

In any case, closing forum topic as there will definitely be no new members.

BTW long time no see!
