Many Many Thanks !

Post by Antonio »

Dear all,

I'm over 40 and I've started to study piano 3 years ago.
I want to say that IMSLP was the site were I took my first piano lessons and If I knew/learnt something about music now is due to the IMSLP site.
It's very sad that something nice and free would not be alive any
more.

Many thanks again.

Promote Free sharing of sheetmusic.....

Post by Antonio »

Dear all,

Probably I'm not the firt one to have this Idea but, I thinks it could be interesting to contact the Instruments big manufacturers like, Yamaha, Bechstein, Steinway, Pleyel, Kawai, etc...
They are the more interested people in having free sheetmusic on the I-net, because in this way they would sold more intruments as people discover, learn and play more music.

IMHO, they have to press UE to permit imslp be alive again.

Although I don't read everything (I read as much as I can however) I don't believe that has actually been mentioned yet.

Nice thought.

Letter to Musical Instruments Manufacturers

Post by Antonio »

Dear all,

As everyone can see, I'm not a good english writer.... but
I would like to know if some is interested to help me with the redatcion of
a letter to the "Piano BIGS" to see what they are going to (not ?) do....

We can start saying:

Dear all/Dear Sir .... bla bla....

From 19/10/2007 the imslp website has been closed due to a bla..bla...

It's our intention to bring to you attention that the project has improve the
music knowledge of a lot of people and had helped to share the music
to everyone.
It's in your own interest to contribute(probably you knows better than us how) to keep this site alive and to feed with music information as much as you can.
Not only for bussiness reason you would have to do it, keep in mind that the love for music and what music can do for people are good enough reasons.

.....

Kindest regards and... correct my english please ?
