Copyrighted Composers

Post by m.kowalski49 »

I wish to contribute several orchestral parts of the following composers. I know for a fact these are NOT PUBLIC DOMAIN. I know some may not be uploaded but those that can be and are to be TB status'd.

Please let me know what of the following that can be uploaded and how to TB the ones that are uploaded.

Bartok - Concerto for Orchestra (String Parts)
Prokofiev - Alexander Nevsky (1st Violin Part)
Prokofiev - Ala et Lolly 'Scythian Suite' (1st, 2nd and Viola parts)
Prokofiev - Piano Concerto No. 2 (1st Violin part)
Prokofiev - Romeo and Juliet suite 2 (1st Violin Part)
Prokofiev - Cinderella Suite No. 1 (1st Violin part)
Mussorgsky - Pictures at an Exhibition (1st and 2nd Violin parts)
Khatchaturian - Violin Concerto (Complete Set of Parts)
Britten - Young Persons Guide to the Orchestra (1st Violin Part)
Hindemith - Symphony 'Mathis der Maler' (1st Violin Part)
Hindemith - Symphonic Metamorphosis (1st Violin Part)
Respighi - Pines of Rome (1st Violin and Viola Parts)
Respighi - Vetrate de Chiesa (1st Violin Part)
Respighi - Ancient Airs and Dances Suite 2 (1st Violin Part)
Stravinsky - Pulcinella Suite (1949rev.) (1st and 2nd Violin parts Orchestra, not Soloists) and also have of this a Manuscript Edition of Boosey and Hawkes. It appears the copyright at the bottom of the parts reads as follows but seems to a Manuscripted version of the 1949 revision with Both Solo and Tutti parts divisi'd

Copyrighted 1924 by Edition Russe de Musique (Rssischer Musikverlag) for all countries
Printed by arrangement, Boosey and Hawkes, Inc. New York
Revised Edition Copyright 1949 in USA by Boosey & Hawkes, Inc. New York

The Bartok, Prokofiev, Mussorgsky, and Respighi pieces can all be uploaded; all but the Mussorgsky (well, depending on the edition, but most likely) will be blocked with [TB] (this happens automatically - it's determined by the copyright tag). The Khachaturyan, Britten, Hindemith, and Stravinsky works cannot be uploaded because they are under copyright in virtually the entire world.

Thanks,

I will be working on this project as soon as my weekend is less heavier. 2 performances of Also Sprach Zarathustra and a performance of a Wagner Opera this weekend.

Thanks again

I have just recently uploaded all of the files that you have mentioned in the above that could be uploaded.

I had been browsing my hard drive and found many Pieces of Vaughan Williams, one included in my archives were Hodie, Symphonies 5-9 Violin 1 parts.

Can you give me insight on these works whether or not they are uploadable?

Thanks

Hodie and the Symphonies are all fine to upload here. They're in the public domain in Canada only, though, so all will be blocked with [TB].

Do you have by chance the other parts of Pictures at an exhibition (Ravel arr.)?
