Mussorgsky/Ravel Pictures at an Exhibition

Post by m.kowalski49 »

I own a complete set of parts and whether they are uploadable here or not.

We've covered this topic before, but if you browse at your convenience on the files I have uploaded previously, these are the same parts.

These have not been PDF'd yet, so this may take a few months depending on my work schedule, performances etc. I just finished a heavy performance of Don Giovanni and it was such a great performance.

I've currently have Beethoven Missa Solemnis/Beethoven 9 performances next, Elgar/Bernstein/Gershwin/Respighi Trilogy. It may not be till April.

If these are uploadable, I will try and put this a priority.

They are definitely uploadable as the Ravel orchestration is free in Canada (since 1988) and in the EU (since 2008 - except France). They will be available on the EU server. As long as they are the original Ravel orchestration and not Arbie Ornstein's recent edition, there should be no problem apart from the USA, where it remains under copyright until January 1, 2025.
