Ashton Op. 107

Post by Sadrobotsings »

I just managed to obtain a digital copy of Algernon Ashton's Op. 107 Tarantella for Clarinet and Piano from the Royal College of Music in London, but the score doesn't seem to include the year it was published. The publisher is C. Hofbauer Leipzig and the plate number is C. H. 457. Thanks!

Plate 322 was Ashton's own Piano Trio no.2 and we list it as "n.d. [1895]".
Plate 389 was 1896 (Lehar, Kukuska).
Plate 445 was the parts to Robert Fuchs String Quartet no.1, and the date we have for that was 1897.
Plate 499 was Ashton's Piano Trio no.3 and we list it as "n.d. [1910]".

Looks like 457 would have been pre-1910 at least, if not pre-turn-of-the-century.
