Hi,

I am also in the UK and have been unable to download for several weeks. Before this thread I couldn't find an obvious way of contacting admin. I previously downloaded (and uploaded the Parry page) with no problem using a Mac running Safari. I have tried other browsers - Firefox, Opera, Omniweb to no avail. I hope this can be resolved soon; it seems not to be a computer, but a UK issue.

Just use a US Proxy, worked fine for me and allowed me to download the PDF.

Same problem, started today out of the blue. Not yet investigated on my side and I have unfortunately scant hope of finding anything, since computer labyrinthing isn't one of my strengths. (E.g., how do you connect to a proxy server on a certain location?)
imslp wrote:1) What country are you in?
Sweden.
2) What browser are you using?
Firefox.
3) Are you using any antivirus or firewall software, and if yes, which?
AVG & Zone Alarm, both free.
4) Do you use a router?
Yes.

May have been my pdf viewer gone corrupt. The new one I downloaded seems to get at the scores, but I don't know what else may have changed in the hours since my post above.

imslp wrote:Just a note that if you are using the Linux "traceroute" command, please use ICMP to traceroute instead of the default (that's what the Windows tracert command uses). Anything else will be almost useless because the last few routers do not respond to TCP/UDP traceroute.

If you do not know how to use ICMP to traceroute, please check the man page. You may need root permissions for this command.
OK ... I just checked and repeated traceroute with ICMP and I get this:

I've managed to use a US proxy which allows me to D/L the scores.

I'm having the same trouble. Never had it before. I'm in the UK, using Mozillla Firefox; TalkTalk Online Security (free); using a router. I'm technically very inexpert, but would really appreciate this problem being sorted out. How do you use a US Proxy server to download?

It still doesn't seem to be working for me. Can anyone offer advice on how to use a proxy? I tried several, but none seemed to get me top where I wanted to be.

I am having the same problem downloading any scores

I am in the UK; using Vista, Home Premium; Thompson router (o2WirelessBox); McAfee AV (with firewall off and cookies enabled); tried used IE8 and Mozilla 3.0.11 with cache cleared after each unsuccessful attempt.

I have run a trace route:

I read that we can try it through a proxy server, but someone will need to explain in plain English how that's done because I am sure I am not alone when I say, I don't have a clue how I might do that!

This is potentially a valuable site - shame about the technical state of its operations. As a user I (and several others here) appear to have already exceeded the limits of what might be called "usability".

Disgruntled!!!

I'm afraid the problem is back. I successfully downloaded three scores tonight; then, suddenly, I can't download anymore. I just get the Time-out message as happened before. Unfortunately, the helpful link to a list of Proxy Servers has gone so I'm stuck again.

There are multiple proxy lists on the web. A large one can be found at proxy.org, which can also be searched by country.

Something seems to have changed for me overnight, as I can only download IMSLP scores using a proxy as from this morning. I'm also in the UK, but haven't had any problems downloading until today :(
