I run the computers hosting imslp.info, and there are two systems, one in California and one in Washington DC, both anycasting with the same IP address. This has been in place for quite a while, and the problem reported here seems to have started when routing preference was given to the machine in Washington DC.

I'm at a loss as to what the problem is. I tried pinging addresses shown on the traceroutes posted here, from the machine in DC, and it works fine.

If someone experiencing the problem could post an updated traceroute, that would be great.

Thanks.

Hi, I've downloaded a number of scores in the past but been able to when I've tried in the last couple of weeks. Traceroute below from today. I'm in the UK, using Firefox 3.5, through a router (BeBox), have AVG 8.5.375, and it makes no difference if Windows Firewall is on or off. Any progress on this one yet?

If this is of any help, I have today downloaded several large scores by going through the proxy server at http://www.docproxy.com

A web based proxy, which is what we are talking about here, is basically a service which will download a page or file from a website for you, and then pass it on to your browser. It's as easy to use as a normal web browser. Just go to any such proxy website and enter the address you wish to access into the appropriate input field. If the proxy is able to access that address, it will download the content for you and pass it on to your browser.

You can use such a proxy whenever you are not able to access a website directly, either due to technical failure or deliberate filtering (in the latter case, it's obviously your responsibility to act within the law....).

Greetings all. I have about the same problem in New Zealand. After accepting the disclaimer, Firefox crashes. The problem is only about 6 days old.

The URL that shows is of the form: http://imslp.org/wiki/Special:ImagefromIndex/23591 .

BUT I don't think it is a routing problem. I have two computers running XP sitting next to each other on the same local network. One has the problem, the other hasn't; therefore I'll be able to live with it until you guys sort it out.

It looks as if it is the Adobe Reader plugin that reports the I/O failure. I tried to install Reader 9.x instead of 7.0 to no effect. The other computer runs Reader 5.0 and downloads fine.

Further to my earlier post, I upgraded to Firefox 3.5.2 (from 3.0.something) and that seems to do the trick.

I have the same problem. I'm in UK and have not been able to download anything for weeks. For some unknown reason one score miraculously came through on thursday but now I'm back to " page cannot be displayed" etc. I don't have this problem on Choral Public Domain library - just here.

For those still having problems, especially in the UK, I note that the proxy server docproxy no longer appears to be available. However I have just gone to http://www.defilter.co.uk and successfully downloaded several files. On their main page enter http://imslp.org/wiki/Main_Page into the Web Page box and click 'Go', then just carry on as normal.
