Replacing scores

Post by azumbrunn »

I am confused: The instructions tell me to click on the IMSLP number and then the "replace the file" link. So far so good. Now it says: do not use this page to upload scores. Does this mean: I have to use some other way to upload my corrected typeset or is this only intended to discourage upload of NEW files? :?

You're doing it right. The wording is there because it's the same function as the Upload File found in the toolbox along the left hand side menu. If someone were to use that link to upload a score it would not be associated with a work page. Once you replace your file using the procedure you've started it will go into a blocked status until it passes through copyright review.

Thanks for your answer. I wonder if one could come up with some more precise wording along the lines of: "Use this procedure only to replace files you have already uploaded; use xyz to upload new scores" or something along these lines.
