"Folk Songs, [nationality]" as author

Post by steltz »

This was discussed under Stravinsky, but I'm now moving it to a topic on its own, since it is moving away from Stravinsky specifically.

We have a set of folksongs that include both Serbian and Rumanian folksongs -- currently under the (my) dreaded "Various".

If I change the composer to "Folksongs, Serbian and Rumanian", it won't show on the individual pages for Serbian Folksongs and Rumanian Folksongs. Any ideas how to do this?

[Edit] -- I see someone has added [[Category:Folk Songs, Romanian]] and [[Category:Folk Songs, Serbian]] so they do come up in the categories. Therefore, if I put the composer as "Folksongs, Serbian and Rumanian" it will still come up under an alphabetical list in the Folksongs. Will this be OK?

Just to give you a headache, we could always use the dreaded Folksongs, Various, the rustic child of the dreaded Various.
