Lappi, Canzoni per ogni sorte di stromenti

Post by steltz »

We are getting various arrangements of individual pieces from this work, although at least one of them has a scan of the original mensural notation. At this point they are all under separate pages, e.g. Canzon Undecima, Canzon Duodecima, etc. Should they be on one work page with excerpts, since they were originally from the same publication?

The problem with our previous practice of placing everything on the page with the original collection was made apparent with the tsunami of WIMA files - which resulted in a few of the collection pages becoming so overloaded that they crashed. So, the answer to your question is "no" unless the individual pages in question have a single small file. With some of the WIMA works, Anton Höger's lute and guitar arrangements, etc., this will never be a concern as the typical arrangement or edition contains multiple files.
