what about shrinking the imslp logo on the top left? Crop some from the top and bottom to make a rectangle and you can display more...

Mediawiki, I think, is built to handle a square there...maybe when the custom skin rolls in

My current plan is to replace the search box on the main page with a selector similar to the old Main Page once the new skin comes in. Anything that can be done in the meanwhile to draw attention to the Genres page would be very appreciated, but I don't think we need to search for a hugely comprehensive solution, unless people start spending too much time on the manual lists.

I've given you temporary admin status so that you can change all the main pages. (If you continue to be involved in IMSLP and you want permanent admin status I'm sure the other admins would be happy to give it to you )
