As the end of 2011 is approaching, I couldn't help but notice how much IMSLP has grown and flourished over the last years.

I remember when I first joined IMSLP in 2006, the rate of uploads was something like 100 new uploads a month. And we were very very happy if we could keep it up.

Now, it is something around the rate of 1,000 scores every 2-5 days. This is more than a 150-fold increase of activity on the website in half a decade, which of course would not have been possible without Feldman's perseverance and courage to deal with all the (perhaps inevitable) obstacles of setting up something like IMSLP, as well as the invaluable help and support of other close IMSLP members, such as Carolus, Peter, and Yagan, to mention only a few that come to mind.

I also believe that the conflicts with publishing companies only highlighted IMSLP's importance and power in this arena, and the fact that we are still going strong (stronger than ever) is a testimony that projects like IMSLP can and DO work, and they can be powerful.

I know this might sound cheesy or corny, but I just wanted to say thank you. Many thanks to everyone who has contributed even at least once (whether by uploading, editing, or donating) and even more so to those who have consistently helped IMSLP in any way they could over the last years.

Thanks.

I second that. This is totally changing the face of music availability, bringing a new interest in exploring unknown music, and making research SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much easier. And it's a testament to the power of collaborative work. Thank you everyone!
