Oboe Concerto in D major (Prelleur, Peter)

Post by Kamallo »

Hi,
I'd like just to signal that the above description, relative to the item "Oboe Concerto in D major (Prelleur, Peter)" - http://imslp.org/wiki/Oboe_Concerto_in_ ... ur,_Peter) should be renamed (and re-categorized) because in fact is a concert for 2 oboes, 2 trumpets and strings.
ThankYou

K.

According to RISM http://opac.rism.info/search?documentid=212003209 only 1 Oboe is soloistic, so we have indeed something like an oboe concerto. The 2. oboe has only a few bars, where it is playing soloistic (together with the 1. Oboe and the bass), it is mostly a ripieno oboe and has "tacet" in the Largo and in the Trio of the menuet. The trumpets belongs to the orchestra and has no soloistic parts.
