Trouble adding work to page

I tried adding "My Country Tis of Thee" to the Henry Carey page as an edited work, but it wouldn't let me unless I connected myself to Carey's page as an editor. I did and when I tried to add the work, it listed Carey as the editor in a grayed out field. Is this something new? I'm confused.

Are you sure it didn't just require you to associate yourself as an editor with your own category page (not Carey's)?

I was on Carey's page when it asked me to make the association and it made me an editor for Carey.

You should never associate your user name with any category other than your own. You will need to de-associate your user name with Carey and associate it with Hudson. You only have to do it one time. After that, the new upload tools with make things easier regardless of whether you're adding things as a composer, arranger or an editor.
