Quarternote template issue

Post by David Campbell »

Entries made using the Quarternote template do not seem to be displaying properly at this time. It seems that the quarter note png file is either missing or not being linked to.

Could someone look into this? Thank you.

It's showing up fine for me in both IE 11 and Firefox 34. The note is actually a font character and not a linked image. Considering the problems you were having uploading a score to a work page with single quotation marks in it you might want to consider installing an alternate browser (Firefox or Chrome perhaps) and see if that resolves the issue. The only other thing I can think of is to try to do a reset of IE's settings (under tools, internet options, advanced).

Thanks for your help. Your prompting led me to dig further into the issue to find a solution. For whatever reason, the required font (arial unicode ms) went missing on my machine. The problem is now corrected. There is a lot of good information here:

What is interesting is that on the eighth note template page, the eighth note is depicted by a png file which I could view just fine.

On the quarter note template page, the quarter note only appears as a unicode character which I could not view.

Thanks again for your time.

I was wondering if there's a way to incorporate our musical incipit code (which is LilyPond based) into the various tempo teplates we have so that they would not disrupt the charcter leading in strings of text. The png symbols seem to work best in this respect among the ones in use.
