3 matters related to works by Cesar Cui

Post by Lyle Neff »

Hello,

(1) I just now uploaded/transloaded the score for Cesar Cui's Petite Suite for violin and piano, Op. 14, via the Sibley project. I'm pretty sure that I had uploaded a Soviet score many years ago, but apparently it is gone, although the violin part of the original edition is already there. Please delete one of the two copies of the violin part (which was included in my up/transload from Sibley. http://imslp.org/wiki/Petite_suite,_Op. ... %C3%A9sar)

(2) The language for Cui's "Christ's Resurrection" is listed as Russian. However, the only edition currently posted is in English. Would someone please modify the language-metadata to indicate that the original language might be Russian, but cannot be verified without more information? http://imslp.org/wiki/Christ%27s_Resurr ... %C3%A9sar)

(3) Cui's monograph "The Russian Romance" needs to be tabbed under "Books" instead of "Compositions." Please change the coding. http://imslp.org/wiki/The_Russian_Roman ... %C3%A9sar)

As a general question, is it possible for a prolific IMSLP contributor, such as myself, to have work-page editing privileges restored to some extent? At the very least, it doesn't make sense that I am not allowed to edit the work-pages for my own compositions.

(1) There's no harm in letting both parts remain on the site. They don't offer the exact same thing since the one file combines the color cover, piano score, and violin part in one file.
(2) I've added a note that the original text is assumed to be in Russian but the first edition hasn't been inspected to confirm this.
(3) The page has now been updated so that it appears under the Books tab.
As for editing privileges we can address that issue in the other thread. I see nothing about your user id or the pages themselves that should prevent you from editing them.
