(Optical character recognition). Input is a text in pdf, not a score. Output is text, not pdf.

I found an acceptable solution - suppose I also want to translate into French - go to https://translate.google.fr/. Select Document instead of Text and browse to select the pdf.
Type Translate and save the result. This result will be a pdf with a messy superposition of the original and the translation.
Open it with Sumatra, right click on it, Select all, ctrl-C. Open a text file and copy into it.
