Cortot, Public Domain?

Post by Funper »

I have a studyscore on "Piano Sonata in B minor" (Liszt) edited by Cortot, published ca. 1950-55. Cortot died in 1960-62, but i don't know the exact date. The score is in french and i think the publisher is to. Is the score in public domain?

Cortot died in 1962. As far as I know, France does not have an Urtext category. Cortot's editions were not really Urtext anyway. I think it's highly unlikely that the Liszt edition is public domain anywhere.
