[BUG] manual page cache purge?

Post by Peter »

adding &action=purge to the url does not work anymore (probably since last update), results in empty wiki page.

Try to click for example the edit button, then change "action=edit" to "action=purge". Didn't try it, but it should work.

Making a void edit (i.e. saving the page without changing anything) should have a similar effect. Such edits should not be saved in the page history.

Leonard, go write some code that will make a purge tab show up at the top of the page ;-) There is, I believe, an extension that does this and also several other admin commands (for admins only of course). But knock it into shape and trim the fat. ;-)

Do we really need it all that frequently (honest question)? Clicking "edit" and then "save" (without changes) is only 2 clicks, do we need to modify the software to save 1 click?

Good point. Plus, actually doing things in one click might infringe Amazon's One-Click patent. ;-)
