"List of edited scores"

Many people are involved in creating modern editions of works available at the IMSLP as manuscript scans. However, if you take a look at, say, Georg Anton Benda's page, http://imslp.org/wiki/Category:Benda,_Georg, there seems to be no way of figuring out which, say, cantatas, are already edited (if any). One needs to check each work one after another. (And there seems to be no way of checking whether a work is being edited right now.)

To address this exact need, I guess, someone created the following page for J.D.Zelenka: http://imslp.org/wiki/Category_talk:Zelenka,_Jan_Dismas
"There are the following edited compositions of Zelenka at IMSLP: (...)". However, to find this, one really needs to know that such a list exists at all.

I believe in general it'd be very useful to have, for a given composer, a page with two lists:

"1) The following are compositions of X for which IMSLP has an edited score:
(...)
2) The following are compositions of X for which editing the score is a work in progress:
(...)
"

This would help potential editors and facilitate avoiding duplicating our efforts.

There is another list for Graupner of this kind: http://imslp.org/wiki/Category_talk:Graupner,_Christoph

Perhaps you are interested to correct the text of your very fine score:
Page 9: Not "... wenig", but "wenig."
Page 10 and 11: Not "Wenn Gott Adelt...", but "Wen Gott adelt..."
Page 14: measure 27 Not "Wertes", but "wertes"
Greetings Notenschreiber.

Thank you very much, I'll upload a corrected version in the coming days...

type e.g. benda typeset in the search field. Of course there will be a few false positives like works dedicated to Benda, discussions etc.

It can't be that automatic. No procedure is able to guess works in progress on everybody's desk. :-) Ses perhaps http://imslp.org/wiki/IMSLP:User_scanning_queue (scans and typesets together)

Thanks. That gives a bit messy output, but kind of works.

I never suggested it to be automatic. People should edit that page, writing there what they're working on and what the estimated time of completion is.

The need for such a page is easily seen from the fact that this list: http://imslp.org/wiki/IMSLP:User_scanning_queue is laughably small compared to what's really going on. I don't know if many people know such a list exists. (Thanks for showing it to me.)

BUT, if regular users can simply add a subpage to a composer's page (I don't know, I thought they couldn't), than my request is redundant; I'll simply add the 'list of edited scores' subpage to the pages of composers I'm interested in ;)

In some cases you will obtain Google's infamous limit of 10 results. Start from the Advanced Search https://www.google.com/advanced_search?hl=en, "customize" it and set the result limit to 100.
Say "site or domain" =http://imslp.org. You can exclude results containg word1, word2...

For other topics, request starting 1 new Project/composer in one of our forums! :-)

You can also request the creation of the category Work pages with an edited score. Then ask admins to add the corresponding tag to each relevant work page :-) Then if you're familiar with the Category Walker you will be able to create a nice list page for each composer, each line having its link to the corresponding work page.

After spending a few days tinkering with some IMSLP pages, I finally understood your post ;). Having this category would actually be very practical!

There is no need to have people adding tags which aren't in the system. We already have a template - {{LinkEd|Firstname|Lastname}}. We could simply have it set up so that any page where this template was used would automatically be included in a category of 'Pages with edited scores". Of course that's going to include *all* edited scores, even the old ones.
