Cherubini Horn Sonata emergency!

Post by ads105 »

Hello!

Cherubini's Horn Sonatas were originally for horn and strings, though they're just listed here with the piano reduction (http://imslp.org/wiki/2_Sonatas_(Cherubini,_Luigi)). I'm trying to track down string parts in a bit of a hurry....can anyone help?

Thanks!

How soon? I can upload the score and you can try that new fancy score splitter. It's edited by Johannes Wojciechowski and published in 1954 so I assume it falls under the same scholarly edition provision.

It's for a performance on Wednesday... The score splitter sounds interesting! Performersedition.com doesn't seem too happy that I'm in Scotland, rather than the US...I'll persevere.

Thanks!

Wednesday? Ouch!
Well, Horndude's score looks good, and maybe a mod can give it the express treatment and clear it a.s.a.p.?
Hope things will work out for you.

Good luck. I'm not sure you're going get much better before Wednesday. Keep in mind that in the score many markings are above each system (tempos, bar numbers, etc.) and sometimes things get cut off so you'll need to write those in. Overall I'd say the splitter works pretty well though.
