Arthur Sullivan: The Grand Duke, in full score

After two year's effort, I have produced a full score of Sullivan's last opera (in collaboration with W.S. Gilbert) The Grand Duke. I'd like to publish it here but really struggle with the technical process involved in doing so. Can anyone offer me some advice? My score is huge, Act One 481 pages, Act Two 369 pages. The orchestration is (as Sullivan's original without alteration) 2 Flutes (2nd on Piccolo), Oboe, 2 Clarinets, 2 Bassoons, 2 Horns, 2 Cornets, 3 Trombones, Percussion, Strings.

I attempted to add an extract of the Opera, but for some reason was unable to upload a PDF via "Attachments" tab, here.

In fact, the PDFs are not THAT big as it was outputted from Finale and not scanned. Roughly 6MB each file, give or take. However, if you were referring to the 'extract' I wanted to post, it was WELL under a MB.

I have already had trouble with Add File; Add to tab: Arrangements and Transcriptions. Is it what you are doing? Then try to add it as a Score and when done, edit the work page and insert ===Arrangements and Transcriptions===
====the work title====
=====For Orchestra (Yourself)=====
at the top of the paragraph starting with {{#fte:imslpfile, that was created when you added your file.

Sometimes you have to put this paragraph and these headers somewhere else in the page.

It's all too hard for me I'm afraid. I'll have to find somewhere else to publish these I think

How did you obtain this "Attachments" tab? I've never seen such!

What steps did you take before that you are having difficulties? If you already have the score created from Finale in PDF format, then you've done all the heavy lifting. It's then just a matter of uploading it to the site. We can definitely help you do that as that's a simple process.

You could even send the Finale-generated PDF (which are usually small enough to email) to myself or one of the other admins and we'd simply upload it for you. It will simply default to the "Scores" tab when added - which is where it belongs.

I'm currently driving the scores through a minor edit (revision 3). Once this is accomplished I'll have it ready for publication.

OK - so I have now gotten this to a stage where I'm moderately happy to put it up. However there are likely to be errors which will move it into revision four. One of the admins was going to help with this. They can email via

Ok so no replies (yet again). I withdraw my offer. Obviously was little interest in it.

Just read the libretto of this really very funny operetta (lots of nice zingy one-liners in this early piece... and really, a legalistic duel?... :D ) . _Some_ interest to be sure, but I don't know how much I can help- can try...??
