Just wanted to announce that I have recently gotten my hands on two volumes of Italian songs edited by Pietro Floridia. Floridia notes that he has redone all accompaniment for piano.
The first of the two volumes was published in 1923, and would seem to be copyrighted in the U.S., due to a 1951 renewal; in any case it is on the Hathi trust website as public domain (https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id= ... 1up;seq=21) and on Archive.org for lending (indicating U.S. copyright, https://archive.org/details/earlyitaliansong11flor). The second volume, published is most certainly under copyright in the United States.
However, in Canada, where IMSLP is based, both books are Public Domain; Pietro Floridia, the editor, died in 1932. Therefore, the books are good to upload as PD-CA.
I am ready to upload scans of any part, especially for Volume II, for which I see no digitization available online. In fact, I fully plan to do this for the books completely (and later most likely to re-typeset some pieces). First though, I would like to publish a listing of the contents of both volumes here, as to solicit recommendations on what to scan & upload first.
