[moved from my talk page] Clara Schumann's Piano Concerto

Postby Leonard Vertighel » Sat Jun 30, 2007 8:59 pm

From my talk page:

Hi, I have the score of Clara Schumann's Piano Concerto, but this was edited on 1993 by Hildegard Publishing Company. So I would like to know if I can Upload This Score. Thanks.

I've seen some Hildegard productions before (of Amy Beach's music) where all they did was reprint an old, public domain score by Schmidt, add a preface and placed a copyright notice on the first page of music. I don't know if that's what they did with the Clara Schumann Piano Concerto (which I think was actually published in her lifetime) or not. If they did, the same rule applies as with Dover and other reprints: Omit all prefaces and any other copyrightable material that has been added by the editor or publisher. All else is fair game. If it's a new engraving (=typeset) prepared by or for Hildegard, it should not be posted here.
