Can any of you Imagemagick wizards advise how to handle the medium-resolution Nanki jpgs? For example, how would you upsample (and possibly convert to B&W?) a jpg that looks like this?: http://nanki-ml.dmc.keio.ac.jp/N-07_27_ ... e/0010.jpg

I have no problem splitting the pages or making a pdf from jpg or tiff. I just wish I could produce a more-legible sheet of music.

Thanks.

Unfortunately a frequent problem with library scans! Upsampling and converting to monochrome will produce irregular staff lines and make some symbols illegible. We need a software that recognizes that a staff line is a staff line, a note head is a note head, note stems, flags, beams etc. and produces the right corresponding symbol. Or is anybody ready to retypeset this work? :-)
