La Cenerentola - Rossini

I am doing assistant work for Cenerentola this fall and am in search for the full score. IMSLP has only the overture in full score and a vocal reduction, but no full score. What is even more strange is that I cannot find a copy of the full score to buy anywhere online... any suggestions and possibilities?

The critical edition score (2 volume), edited by Alberto Zedda was published in 1998 by Ed. Fondazione Rossini, Pesaro.

But I am a little surprised that the opera company you will work for is not supplying you with a score - in rental agreements a reasonable number of scores are usually supplied without any extra rental fee.

Thanks for that info, Kalliwoda. At €234 ($336 at today's exchange rate), the critical edition is less than the public domain reprint.

Add-on: The SBB online catalog lists for the critical edition "distributed by Ricordi, Milano".
So it may be possible also to order it through a local music shop.

My take on the situation with BMG Music Group was that they transferred all the back catalog they aquired (Durand, Salabert, Eschig, Editio Musica, Ricordi and...) to the Casa Ricordi Warehouses near Milan, but had not enough staff to make the for sale items available. Things seem not to have changed for the better since the entire music empire was sold to Universal Group (that is not Universal-Edition Wien). They seem to think that music for sale is just not profitable especially if compared to the rental revenue from the likes of Puccini, Martinu, Milhaud, Bartok etc. etc.
